From a very young age, Alp had a deep interest in human anatomy and a desire to help people, which ultimately led to his career and passion as a Certified Fascial Manipulation® Specialist and Teacher. He focuses on orthopedic rehabilitation, specializing in myofascial pain and dysfunction, and has completed extensive international training in the USA, Ireland, and Italy. Alp has experience working with athletes, dancers, and musicians of various age groups, bringing a unique understanding to his practice. Caring and professional, Alp provides clear and informative communication and adopts an individualized and holistic approach for each patient, always aiming to achieve realistic and long-term results within three to five sessions. In his free time, Alp enjoys playing drums, singing, traveling, and exploring different countries. He has recently moved to Vancouver with his wife and little dog, and he is excited to bring his expertise to Village Physiotherapy.

Cheryl’s journey into physiotherapy was inspired by her experience as a competitive gymnast and her lifelong fascination with sports medicine, fitness, health, and nutrition. Her dedication stems from a keen interest in treating individuals of all ages and abilities, particularly athletes across various sports, with a special focus on dancers and gymnasts. Cheryl has a strong passion for identifying mechanical or joint dysfunctions related to injuries and using manual therapy and manipulation to restore function and decrease pain. She loves a good challenge and strives to make a difference in each treatment session.
Cheryl prioritizes her patients’ goals and concerns, inspiring them to be the best version of themselves and supporting them on their health journey. She believes strongly in a collaborative professional approach, working closely with associates and other health professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. In her free time, you will find Cheryl walking her dog or spending valuable time with her husband and their four adult kids. She strives to stay healthy by lifting weights, practicing yoga, cycling, hiking, and skiing.

In her free time, Emily enjoys hiking, yoga, kickboxing, swimming, and snowboarding and spending time with her husband and two young daughters on the North Shore.

Jenna was inspired to become a physiotherapist after experiencing the benefits of physiotherapy as a varsity basketball player and from seeing the positive impact her mom’s physiotherapy career had on people’s lives. Her goal is to empower people to achieve their goals through individualized treatment plans that include thorough assessments and can include the use of manual therapy, dry needling, exercise, and education. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities like running the seawall, hiking on the North Shore, skiing local mountains, and coaching basketball. She grew up in Deep Cove, currently lives in the Mount Pleasant area, and also works part-time at Children’s Hospital.

He specializes in treating a wide range of issues, including acute injuries, chronic pain, concussions, and sports injuries, using a treatment philosophy focused on education, exercise, and manual therapy. He has gained diverse experience in various settings, including fitness classes and educational seminars, and continues to further his expertise in concussion management. Outside of his professional life, Josh enjoys playing soccer and piano, and spending quality time with his wife and daughter.

With a keen interest in body mechanics, movement, and holding patterns, Katie incorporates these elements into her treatment approach. In her free time, Katie enjoys hiking, trail running, and taking road trips with her dogs, making the most of living in Squamish and exploring the beautiful outdoors and mountains.

Having been a gymnast, Cross-Fitter, snowboarder, and hiker, Kelly saw first-hand the benefits of massage therapy while rehabbing from sports injuries and accidents. Her diverse life experience working as an international flight attendant and 911 operator has also given her great perspective, directing her into a field where she aims to make a hands-on personal impact on people’s lives. Kelly combines myofascial release, PNF stretching, deep tissue, lymphatic drainage and Swedish techniques to help you reach your goals! In her free time, Kelly enjoys eating Korean BBQ and spending time on “do it yourself” hobbies, with her canine shadow at her side.

She is passionate about helping each person reach their full potential, guiding them through their rehabilitation journey with compassion, expertise, and dedication. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys hiking with her dog, running, and staying active. In her personal life, Sarah loves running, playing soccer and softball, biking with her two sons, and hiking North Shore trails with her beloved dog. She also enjoys coaching her sons’ soccer teams and cheering them on in hockey. Sarah feels fortunate to live and work on the North Shore with such a supportive team at Village Physiotherapy.

Inspired by her background as a competitive gymnast and yoga practitioner, Tia pursued a career in physiotherapy to help clients move and feel better. She quickly identifies muscle imbalances and movement patterns that drive dysfunction, aiming to empower and educate her clients through active and individualized exercise prescriptions, complemented by manual therapy and IMS or acupuncture treatments. Tia works from a holistic approach and enjoys connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds. She played rugby and soccer in her youth and enjoys working with athletes. Recently, she has added a BPPV specialty to her practice, carefully assessing and treating vertigo and BPPV conditions. In her free time, Tia enjoys running, hiking, practicing yoga, and spending quality time with her son.
